The People Behind Coding Hope

I started Coding Hope to give every kid free, hands-on access to real programming. I teach all three tracks (Scratch, Python, and AI), drawing on my own path from my first lines of code to building and deploying machine-learning models.

I’m Yingzhou, a computational biology and AI researcher at Stanford focused on applying machine learning to scientific discovery. My work centers on large-scale biological data, including multi-omics integration and disease research, combined with modern AI systems. I’ve worked on LLM training and evaluation, building data pipelines, and developing agent-based systems that can automate scientific workflows—from literature analysis to data interpretation. I’m particularly interested in making AI systems more rigorous, reproducible, and useful for real-world scientific research.
